On Sunday 1 November, Moscowa memorial part was the venue for a magnificent winter walk. More than a hundred walkers were taken through the park by nature guides of the IVN (Institute for Nature Education and Sustainability).

During the walk, the guides discussed the various monumental trees, bushes and animals that can be found throughout the memorial park. The group even encountered orange peel fungi, which are very rare in the Netherlands. The walkers were also told about special (urn) graves.

“The weather was gorgeous, which really made the magnificent colours in the park stand out”, said one of the visitors. “You get to see a completely different side of Moscowa this way.”
